The online shopping site has been embroiled in a controversy over the name Kate Spades, which was used on a large number of its merchandise and was also used by brands including Gap, Under Armour and Nike.
News.au asked Kate Sparce, the founder of KateSpades.com, about the controversy and what she thought of the backlash.
Kate Spade has always been an icon of style and sophistication, so why is this name being associated with something so completely inappropriate?
KateSpades website says that it is simply a trademark of the company, which is owned by The Spades Group, which owns the copyright to the name.
Kate Spardes name is synonymous with style, sophistication, elegance and elegance, which means that the Spades name is being associated in this way, that is not an appropriate use of that name, Kate Spady said.
She said the brand has no plans to change its name.
“The Spades brand is one of the most recognizable brands in the world, so if the name is associated with anything other than a quality product or a high quality product, that’s not what we stand for.
The Spade name is a family name that represents a style and an elegance that is a very important part of our lives and KateSpade.com is proud of that.
When you look at the history of KateSparce.com and what we’ve been able to accomplish, we are not going to change the name.”
She also denied that the name was associated with the brand because of the controversy.
