Sam’s, the leading jewelry retailer in India, is set to open a moonstone jewelry exchange in its Indian stores.
The company has decided to launch the exchange with the support of the Indian government.
“We will take a step to open an exchange with Sam’s for the moonstone, but we are still yet to decide what kind of moonstone we will offer,” a spokesperson for Sam’s told IANS.
“There are no specific guidelines as yet on what kind moonstone will be accepted.
We will be looking at how the moonstones are created, and then we will decide which moonstone should be accepted by our customers.”
Sam’s had launched an exchange programme with India in 2014.
The programme was extended with a new extension last year.
“Our aim is to provide affordable and high quality jewelry to our customers in the best way,” the spokesperson said.
